Tile and Grout Cleaning

When we initiate the Tile and Grout cleaning process, our team will first apply a pre-cleaning solution which goes over the tiled area. We will then add a highly concentrated cleaning solution that will penetrate the built-up grout. Afterwards, our team of Tile Cleaning experts then use our state-of-the-art cleaning machinery to effectively and efficiently remove the dirt, grime and bacteria which exist in your tiled floors.  From this cleaning process, we will ensure that your tiled floors look as good as new!

Want that Perfect-Finish?  We recommended that once we finish cleaning your tiles, that you allow the area to dry naturally.  We will then provide some great cleaning and maintenance tips which will be specific to your situation.

Cleaning grout lines and porous or textured tiles requires tailored cleaning solutions that draw out the grease, grime and contaminants. Some of the toughest contaminants to remove are the residues from cleaning solutions and soap scum in the bathroom and laundry.

The cleaning solutions need to be agitated with a grout brush or high-speed polisher and flushed away with a high-pressure cleaning system. A skilled professional tile and grout cleaner will achieve the best possible cleaning results.

We aim to make your tiles not only clean again, but to look fresh and new.  Tile and Grout Cleaning will do exactly that! We will strive diligently to ensure we have removed hard to reach scum, dirt and grime from your Tiles and Grout.

Due to grout being porous in nature, overtime it can collect a lot of liquid, bacteria and dust which can all grow and manifest to produce harmful diseases.  Many people overlook this and wait until a problem happens before they actually treat their Tiles and Grout.

At Family Friendly, we are experts in removing all those unwanted bacteria and dirt which can build up in your floors.  We also recognise that through Professional Cleaning of your floors, the aesthetics of your home or office will improve.  This definitely leads to having a happier family and more satisfied customers.

When we use our specific tile and grout cleaning products and equipment, we’re able to effectively clean your surfaces in ways that couldn’t be achieved otherwise. Through the use of our highly concentrated cleaning solution, we are able to penetrate the thick, hard to remove grime from your flooring. As well as removing dirt and grime, our machinery is able to swiftly clean in-between the cracks of the tiles. There are an incredible amount of germs that build up here, so it’s crucial to clean them accordingly.

It’s not required monthly

If you’re in a low-traffic area such as a home or apartment then we recommend having your tiles and grout cleaned every 18-24 months. There’s obviously nothing wrong with cleaning more regularly, but if you’re using an advanced Cleaning Company that uses equipment and products of the highest standard, only getting your floors cleaned every 18-24 months will ensure those harsh, dangerous bacteria are prevented from growing in the grout and in-between cracks.

With a build up of scum, dirt and bacteria this can overtime reduce the overall quality of your grout and tiles and also affect the colour. The porous nature of grout allows it to become a breeding ground for bacteria. Along with this, if your tiles haven’t been cleaned properly, then the natural colour will start to fade and a yellowish colour will appear. By using trusted cleaning professionals to clean your tiles and grout, you can significantly improve the overall condition of them.

Mopping definitely helps to clean the top layer of the tiles and grout.  But that’s about it. It doesn’t really do much for effectively killing the bacteria that exists between the cracks and within the grout.  Mopping can also create a new problem where built-up soap scum can accumulate on the floors and even discolour the tiles.

Whilst bleach is used quite often when it comes to cleaning tiled surfaces, it is actually not recommended for tiles and grout.  This is mainly because of the harsh chemicals that exist within the bleach which actually cause the tiles and grout to become more brittle.  The acids and harsh substances may actually cause more bad than good when it comes to cleaning your tiles and grout!

As for higher traffic areas such as offices, we recommend getting this done every 12 months.

Keeping tiled floors clean can be a tough task, and grout can be particularly stubborn. The most common cause of dirty grout is using too much water and detergent while you’re washing the floor. Here’s why.

Grout is highly porous, which is what makes it effective at protecting your tiles. Unfortunately, every floor clean washes dirty water onto the tiles and into your grout. This creates a black film that can be difficult to remove and in humid areas, be a breeding ground for bacteria and mould.
